New on TV This Week: Love is Blind, Salem’s Abundance and More

This October marks the arrival of tons of great new TV shows, and of course All scary movies and all the big movies have plenty of both streaming services This week.

Open netflixThe seventh season of Love Is Blind, once again hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, arrives this week with the hope that a group of singles looking to marry someone they’ve never met can actually make it work. This week, the streamer will air the brand new season of coming-of-age drama Heartstopper.

If you’re in the mood for a scare, a new take on Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot is coming to Max. The film, starring Lewis Pullman and Alfre Woodard, will be released on October 3. For maximum excitement, make the film a double feature. HuluHold Your Breath is a psychological thriller starring Sarah Paulson as a woman convinced that her family is being terrorized by something evil in the Dust Bowl in Oklahoma.

Manga fans can get excited with the arrival of two highly anticipated games this week; Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War: Part 3 will air on Hulu on Saturday, October 5, while Dan Da Dan will stream on Crunchyroll and Netflix on Thursday.

Prime Video is also getting in on the spooky action with the premiere of the thriller House of Spoils, starring Ariana DeBose. For something lighter, the season 3 premiere of the hit animated series The Legend of Vox Machina is also back with three new episodes.

We bid farewell to Power Book II: Ghost on Starz; The series will have its finale this week.

Love Is Blind, Season 7 (October 2)

Netflix’s popular dating show Love Is Blind, hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, returns for its seventh season this week. The show, which skips the flirting part of dating shows and sends contestants straight to the altar, premieres October 2. Throughout the 12 episodes, many couples get to know each other as they plan their wedding and check to see if they are actually getting married. Make a compatible match. (As of this spring 10 pairs Those who appeared throughout the show’s first six seasons are still together.) Season 7 features the bachelorettes, all from Washington, D.C., and will also include a pair of siblings, a first for the series.

Heartstopper, season 3 (October 3)

Netflix’s popular romantic drama Heartstopper, starring Joe Locke and Kit Connor, returns with its third season this week. Adapted from Alice Oseman’s graphic novels of the same name, the series explores the relationship between gay teenagers Charlie (Locke) and Nick (Connor) as they navigate their sexuality during their high school years.

Adapted from Yukinobu Tatsu’s manga of the same name, Dan Da Dan premieres on Netflix and Crunchyroll on October 3. The series follows high school students Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura, whose differing views on ghosts and aliens lead to unexpected consequences. for their friendship, will be released on Netflix in its original format with subtitles. Hold Your Breath (October 3)

Sarah Paulson stars in the new Hulu original movie Hold Your Breath, which will arrive on the platform on Thursday, October 3. The psychological thriller is set during dust storms in 1930s Oklahoma, and stars Paulson as a woman who believes a sinister presence poses a threat. while his family tries to survive the suffocating storms around them. Bear’s Ebon Moss-Bachrach stars in the film, which is part of the streamer’s “Huluween” slate of new content.

Bleach: A Thousand Years of Blood War (October 5)

Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 3: The Conflict comes to Hulu with subtitles on Saturday, October 5. bleach Fans have been waiting a year for the final season, which will pick up where Episode 2: The Separation ended. Based on the manga written by Tite Kubo, The Thousand-Year Blood War was divided into four parts of 13 episodes each, but there is no confirmed release date for Part 4 yet.

Based on Stephen King’s classic 1975 horror novel, Salem’s Lot is the story of author Ben Mears (Lewis Pullman) who returns to his childhood town for inspiration, only to make the shocking discovery of a bloodthirsty vampire. This film adaptation is directed by Gary Dauberman, who has previously written several films in The Conjuring universe, including Annabelle and The Nun. The film is produced by horror legend James Wan and stars Alfre Woodard, Makenzie Leigh and Pilou Asbæk.

Power Book II: Ghost Series Finale (October 4)

It’s the end of an era as Starz’s Power Book II: Ghost series wraps up with its finale this week. After four seasons, the series will end on Friday, October 4. You can also watch the Power Book II: Ghost marathon on Saturday, October 5 at 14:00 on Starz.

Prime Video supernatural thriller House of Spoils follows an ambitious chef (Ariana DeBose) who opens her first restaurant on a remote property, where she encounters the haunting presence of the property’s previous owner, who threatens to sabotage her at every turn. Barbie Ferreira and Arian Moayed star in the movie, which is a co-production between Amazon and Blumhouse.

Legend of Vox Machina (October 3)

Prime Video’s animated fantasy-adventure series for adults, The Legend of Vox Machina, returns this week with its third season consisting of 12 episodes. In the long-awaited new season, the Chroma Conclave’s path of destruction widens as Cinder King pursues Vox Machina. The band of Misfits must overcome inner (and outer) demons to save their loved ones, Tal’Dorei, and all of Exandria. Three episodes of the series will be released every week until October 24.
