Sam Darnold’s Performance on Sunday Had Fans Talking

The Minnesota Vikings have been the biggest surprise of the 2024 NFL season so far; They managed to post a 3-0 record and lead the Green Bay Packers on their way to their fourth straight win.

The Vikings entered the season as a question mark due to their quarterback situation.

Minnesota selected JJ McCarthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but the rookie will miss this season after having surgery to repair a meniscus tear.

Instead, the Vikings will rely on Sam Darnold, who looks like a completely different player running head coach Kevin O’Connell’s offense.

Darnold has played for many teams throughout his career, but he appears to be making progress in his draft career as he finally has full control under Minnesota’s center.

Darnold was able to make big plays, and his recent touchdowns against the Packers had analysts and fans talking.

In the first clip, Darnold throws a ball in the end zone to Jordan Addison, who goes down to grab it and then hits Justin Jefferson on an easy route for another score.

The final video shows Darnold finishing with an easy pass for his third touchdown pass of the day, giving him his league-leading 10th passing touchdown.

At this point, it’s fair to start believing that Darnold is a legitimate starting quarterback in the league because Darnold has shown that he has good command of the offense and the Vikings should now be considered a real playoff threat.
