Happy Birthday Richu: Indian women’s team celebrates ahead of T20 World Cup

The Indian women’s team celebrated Richa Ghosh’s birthday in Dubai ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup. Despite the intense pressure on the Indian team during their preparations for the important tournament, they did not forget to have fun. Richa turned 21 on Sunday, September 29, and the entire team gathered to celebrate the girl’s birthday. The explosive batter was smeared with chocolate cake as the Indian women’s team joyfully chanted “Happy Birthday Richu” and sang the birthday song.

Not only that, the team organized a small tea party despite the heat in Dubai. Richa revealed that Smriti Mandhan poured her a cup of tea by herself. In fact, Richa asked if she could have fun on her special day. As a senior member of the team, Mandhana was cool-headed and kind enough to agree to his infamous request. The entire team enjoyed a mini tea break as moments like these showcased the type of bond that exists between players.

“Yes, I got tea as a gift, Smriti di specially poured tea for me,” Richa said in a video posted on BCCI’s official website. he said.

“I’m not saying much since it’s your birthday,” Mandhana said.

“Then I can have fun today,” Richa asked playfully.

Mandhana replied, “Do whatever you want.”

“Only true tea lovers can drink tea in this heat,” said Jemimah Rodrigues.
