At least one injured, dog rescued from car in crash on I-10

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – First responders say everyone involved in a crash on the interstate on Friday is expected to survive.

Crews from the Crestview Fire Department said they and the Holt Fire Department were called to the scene near mile marker 52 on Interstate 10. Pictures taken from the scene show a car being crushed between a concrete barrier and a tractor trailer. They said a helicopter was called to transport a patient who reportedly had non-life-threatening injuries.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says a dog was rescued from the car and is being cared for by deputies. They added that all westbound traffic on I-10 was diverted to Highway 90 while the scene was cleared.
