The semitrailer truck was parked on the side of the road when a gray Chevrolet SUV rear-ended the trailer, according to troopers.

SkyCam 9 was on the scene around 5:15 p.m., and emergency crews had closed some eastbound lanes as they attempted to clear the scene.

The heavily damaged SUV could be seen from above, positioned behind a semi-truck that appeared to have minimal damage in the crash.

Police said the driver of the vehicle was injured in the accident and was later taken to the hospital.
