John Wick is back! In a way. As you can see, the first trailer Ballerinanext spin-off project John Wick universe will see Keanu Reeves’ iconic hitman make a surprise return to the big screen.

Confused? Being. I’ll explain later how and why everyone’s favorite gun-fu master will appear in the upcoming action movie led by Ana de Armas. Hey, this isn’t a movie centered on Wick himself, so why let him steal the spotlight in this article?

Anyway – yes, first trailer Ballerina: From the World of John Wick here, and it looks every bit as exciting, action-packed and strikingly character-driven as the first four films in the series. You can check out next year’s opening teaser new movies – will be released in theaters on June 6, 2025 – below:

I can’t speak for everyone, but it looks impressive from where I’m sitting. In fact, I’m pretty disappointed that we don’t see more de Armas taking names and kicking ass in 2021. No Time to Diethat is, the last time Daniel Craig took on the role of the legendary spy. James Bondor in Gray Man Open netflix. I didn’t watch the Cuban-Spanish actress beat up guys left, right and center AppleTV+‘ he slandered Ghost Same with the movie because I heard it wasn’t very good. So I can’t wait to see Armas prove that he has the mettle to deliver the goods as the main attraction in an action movie.

But that’s enough fawning – what’s up? Ballerina about? Here’s a brief plot summary, courtesy of the Lionsgate press release: “The events take place during John Wick: Chapter 3 parabellum“The film follows Eve Macarro (de Armas) as she begins her training in the assassin traditions of Ruska Rome.”

There’s not much to go on, then, but the trailer suggests that Macarro will embark on his own vengeful mission to track down those who killed his family. He says the same in the first teaser of the movie; so expect plenty of bone-crunching, gunshot-involved, and improvised action throughout.

Okay, back to the question on everyone’s lips: What is Wick doing here? Ballerina? After all, the last moments John Wick: Chapter 4 implied that said hitman died after a tear-jerking and tense duel with Donnie Yen’s Caine.

The short answer is Ballerina a pre-sequel. As Lionsgate’s short story reveals, its narrative runs concurrently with the one depicted here. John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. As obvious as it is, Wick is still alive and kicking at this point. John Wick timeline, so he may play a small role in the spin-off movie, which also features Armas.

Reeves’ Wick isn’t the only fan-favorite character we’ll see again. Ballerina. The late Lance Reddick, who passed away in March 2023, will make his final appearance on the big screen as Charon, the doorman of the New York branch of the global hitman shelters collectively known as The Continental. Ian McShane’s Winstone, who directed The Continental New York, is also returning for this spin-off. Joining de Armas and the aforementioned trio in Ballerina are Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Norman Reedus.

Ballerina first John Wick We will see a sequel to the movie, but this is not the first spin-off of the series. It was indeed ContinentThe 3-episode mini-series first premiered in 2013. peacock (USA) and Prime Minister Video (international) Late 2023.
