Keanu Reeves returns as John Wick alongside Ana de Armas and the latter star in new movie trailer | Movies

Last year, Keanu Reeves stepped down from his role as the iconic assassin in John Wick: Chapter 4.

We’ve seen him die and even see his tombstone, but fans believe the character may still be alive.

Meanwhile, John Wick 3.5 is planned to be released next year as a spin-off called Ballerina.

Set during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (6 months before Chapter 4), the film stars Bond girl Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, a dancer turned assassin.

In the first explosive trailer, we see Ian McShane reprising his role as Continental executive Winston Scott alongside the late Lance Reddick, who died at the age of 60 just before the release of John Wick Chapter 4 last year.

His character Charon also died in the fourth film, but he filmed his scenes for the prequel spin-off Ballerina in 2022.

In addition to Anjelica Huston, who reprises the role of the Director from the third film, Norman Reedus also joins the cast as a mysterious man named Pine.

And of course, Reeves himself returns in what appears to be a cameo as Wick. We wouldn’t be surprised if he and Ballerina team up in the inevitable John Wick: Chapter 5.
