According to Gianni Paolo, delving into Brayden’s complexities made the role particularly satisfying.

“The great thing about Brayden was that he was funny, but he also had to deal with difficult situations, killing his father and of course his uncle,” BOSSIP Editor-in-Chief told Dani Canada. “So it was a lot of fun as an actor to find those funny moments even in the darkest parts.”

One of his favorite parts of playing Brayden was diving into intense, dramatic scenes.

“I loved going to the trap house with Cane and throwing my uncle off the roof. It was so crazy,” Gianni said. “I always joke that the way I look, I should be on Riverdale but I could be selling drugs on 50 Cent’s show instead. It’s just a blessing. “Every episode, every scene, every moment, I was always happy and grateful to be a part of this universe, even when Brayden was secondary.”

Comparisons to legendary as Brayden gets darker Tommy Egan Some images from the original Power series have surfaced among fans; The last appearance was when Brayden killed his girlfriend’s dealer for selling bad drugs.

Gianni finds the parallels between Brayden and Tommy flattering, but admits there’s a stark contrast between them.

“It’s definitely a compliment,” he admitted. “What Joseph (Sikora) What he did with Tommy was amazing; He has his own show now. Brayden is definitely Tariq’s Tommy, his right-hand man.”

“While Brayden grew up with money and a close-knit family, Tommy grew up in the hood with Ghost. It’s a different upbringing, but I love the comparisons. I think it’s great and Brayden is getting darker this season so those comparisons will keep coming.

One of Brayden’s defining moments this season was the aforementioned moment where he killed a drug dealer for his girlfriend Elle, only to be dumped shortly after. “Come on girl, this is for you!” Gianni laughed at Brayden’s actions before admitting that there would be consequences if Brayden continued to be “more reckless.”

“Brayden does crazy things and he needs to tone it down a little bit because it gets in the way. You will see some side effects of this, but our main focus is on how we deal with Carter and how to get everything done,” he told BOSSIP.

“It shows a different side of Brayden, a more reckless, careless side; just like when Holly died she didn’t care if Tommy lived or died. That’s when someone becomes the most dangerous.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Gianni told BOSSIP about one of the show’s standout moments; The many nicknames Cane Tejada (Woody McClain) calls Brayden.

“I forgot you called me Charlie Sheen a few episodes ago, which was hilarious,” Gianni recalled to BOSSIP. “I’m actually a friend of Machine Gun Kelly, so when Cane told me this on the show, I sent him the clip and he was dying laughing. He also called me Taylor Swift and other crazy names. It’s funny because in the original Tommy called me Bieber Strength, but that scene was cut. And I think that was the beginning of it all.

He continued:

“Even though it never made it to TV, the writers knew what they wanted to do. And that’s how I feel too Strength, We bring up many current issues. And it is not always written. Obviously when the YSL case was and still is going on, we had a scene in the beginning that said Gambino Crime Family. So I said, ‘No, we should change it to YSL RICO,’ and it went crazy on social media. So I think the writers did a good job, but we as players are also like, let’s keep it updated because every time we do something like this, we go crazy on Twitter. And that’s a good thing for the show.”
