A luxury high-rise residence complete with a 16,000-square-foot outdoor deck with a pool and dozens of other amenities is designed to grace Nashville’s ever-changing skyline.

Designed by Chicago architecture firm Goettsch Partners and developed by Giarratana LLC, the tower will be located across the street at 1010 Church St. 19-acre Nashville Yards developmentand will include a 60,000-square-foot “state-of-the-art addition” to the neighboring Downtown YMCA.

According to a news release, the Paramount project began in 2021 when the YMCA of Nashville launched a Request for Proposal (RFP) process for the addition and renovation of its existing facilities downtown, as well as the opportunity to develop a portion of the one-acre site. individually for a larger program.

Goettsch Partners and Giarratana co-developed the winning design, with a proposal for a five-story YMCA addition at the corner of Church Street and YMCA Way and a 60-story condo and apartment tower next door.

Construction of the tower is scheduled to begin later this year and is expected to be completed by 2027.

Style, elegance and sophistication are at the heart of Paramount. The ground floor will consist of a 30-metre-high clear-glass lobby overlooking Church Street and a circular driven porte cochere creating a “dramatic” entrance.

Differently angled glass surfaces that reflect light in different directions will reinforce the building’s verticality and further highlight the building’s “crown” (a series of triangular glass surfaces that form a diamond shape, reserved for the top four floors).

By differentiating the base, shaft and top of the building, the design aims to create a different presence in the city centre.

Amenities on the ninth floor will include:

  • A residential lounge and TV room.
  • Cozy lounge with show kitchen.
  • Private dining room for 14 people.
  • Fitness and yoga room.
  • Games room with pool table.
  • Coworking space with three private study rooms.
  • A 16,000-square-foot outdoor deck with a pool, 66 lounge chairs, four six-person cabins, four grilling stations and an outdoor exercise area.

Level 40 will feature condo amenities such as a lounge and bar area with 23-foot ceilings, fireplace room and lounge, 25-seat private dining room and catering kitchen. Additional amenities include a bike room, dog spa and parking garage.
