Claire Polosak and Lauren Agenbag will be the on-field umpires for Bangladesh and Scotland at the start of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in Sharjah.

The match referee and referees for all group stage matches for the ninth edition of the tournament, which will start on October 3, have been announced.

The opening match forms part of a double header also involving Pakistan and Sri Lanka when the tournament begins in the United Arab Emirates.

In the opening match, Sue Redfern will be the TV referee and GS Lakshmi will be the match referee.

Meanwhile, Kim Cotton and Eloise Sheridan will chair the meeting of Pakistan and Sri Lanka later in the day.

Sheridan and Agenbag later joined Redfern and Anna Harris to referee the highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium on 6 October, a day after Australia begin their title defense against Sri Lanka on 5 October. They will join forces. referee

Australia have been the competition’s most successful team, taking six titles from eight tournaments since its inception in 2009.

Vrinda Rathi and Redfern will headline another contest in New Zealand’s match against Australia on October 9.

On the eventful day of October 13, Agenbag and Polosak will watch Scotland’s match against England before India and Australia meet, possibly one of the matches of the tournament, later that day. They will be overseen by Cotton and Redfern at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium and the TV umpire will be Jacqueline Williams.

To see out the group stage, Sheridan and Sarah Dambanevana will be the on-field umpires for the potentially pivotal clash between England and the West Indies.

The official appointments for the match for the two semi-finals and the final are yet to be confirmed.
