Samsung Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 Series will be available in Australia next month

Samsung has announced its latest devices by launching the Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy Tab S10 series, both of which will be released on October 10.

The Galaxy S24 FE delivers a premium mobile experience and Galaxy AI to more users, while the Galaxy Tab S10 Series includes the Galaxy Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S10+, Samsung’s first tablets designed specifically for AI.

Galaxy S24 FE

Samsung’s Fan Edition (FE) devices have been hugely popular since their launch and bring the features of their premium series to a more budget-friendly price.

Galaxy S24 FE will have a 6.7-inch FHD + resolution, 120 Hz refresh AMOLED Screen and is powered by the Exynos 2400e processor with 8 GB RAM and a 4,700 mAh battery. Samsung will offer the Galaxy S24FE with 128 GB or 256 GB of onboard storage.

Samsung has modeled the Galaxy S24 FE on other Galaxy S devices and will launch the phone in three colors: Graphite, Blue, and Mint.

Of course, the Galaxy S24 FE packs great cameras with a 10MP selfie camera on the front, a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP Ultra Wide with 123˚ field of view, and an 8MP Telephoto sensor with 3x Optical zoom on the back.

Samsung will use the ProVisual engine in the Galaxy S24 FE camera system, providing advanced night photography, advanced zoom and HDR. Samsung also includes the latest AI-powered productive editing options, including Productive editing, Portrait Studio, reflection removal, and even slow motion.

The phone will run Android 14 with One UI 6.1, which includes seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. Samsung’s software includes many of the AI features we saw launch earlier this year, including Circle To Search, Live Translation in 16 languages (20 by the end of the year), Chat Assist, and much more.

SeaYoung Lee, Corporate Vice President and Head of Smartphone Research and Development Team at Samsung Electronics, said:

We want everyone to take full advantage of our latest mobile innovations. Galaxy AI opens many new experiences to users, helping them communicate and be more creative and productive. Galaxy S24 FE brings the powerful performance and superior Galaxy AI features of the S24 series to even more people.”

The Galaxy S24 FE will arrive in Australia on October 10 priced at $1,099 and will be available for pre-order at select retailers today; but check what deals you can find across operators.

Galaxy Tab S10 Series

Samsung is also stepping back into premium tablets by launching the Galaxy Tab S10 series in Australia.

The series includes premium hardware like the Galaxy Tab S10+ with a 12.4-inch AMOLED display and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra with a quad, massive 14.6-inch AMOLED display.

It’s the speaker setup and much more that makes these tablets perfect for media consumption.

The tablets are powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9300+ processor, which Samsung has rigorously tested and says shows an 18% increase in CPU, 28% increase in GPU and 14% increase in NPU compared to the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S9+. models.

Samsung says the tablets will include 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage (with microSD support for up to 1.5TB); however, the Ultra will also be available in a 16GB/1TB model.

Unlike the multiple colors of the Galaxy S24FE, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Tab S10 series in just a single color: Moonstone Grey.

The new processor will power Galaxy AI on tablets, and the Galaxy Tab S10 Series will now feature a new Book Cover Keyboard that includes a Galaxy AI Key for quick access.

You’ll also see AI being used in the AI Air Command S Pen, which will help use Galaxy AI features including Note Assist, Drawing Assist, and Sketch to Image.

Just like the Galaxy S24 FE, the Galaxy Tab S10 series will run Android 14 and maintain Samsung software support, offering seven generations of OS Updates and seven years of security updates.

MC Lee, Vice President, Mobile eXperience Business, Galaxy Ecosystems Business Team, Samsung Electronics, said:

The Galaxy Tab S10 series is Samsung’s first tablet built with AI enhancements out of the box and is the latest addition to the Galaxy AI family. We’re proud to add the Galaxy Tab S10 series to our seamless ecosystem of connected devices, delivering versatile experiences that only an AI tablet can deliver with its blend of power and portability.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Series will be available starting October 10. Pricing starts at $1,799 for the Galaxy Tab S10+ Wifi, while the Tab S10 Ultra starts at $2,099, and Samsung also includes a keyboard cover as a gift with purchase.
