Trailer Teases Possible HR Trouble for Janine and Gregory

School is almost back in session for the teachers of Abbott Elementary as Season 4’s premiere approaches on October 9th, and in anticipation of the show’s return, ABC has unveiled photos from the premiere episode as well as a revealing trailer.

In the video, above, Human Resources is stepping in and it has us wondering, they will pose a potential problem to Janine (Quinta Brunson) and Gregory’s (Tyler James Williams) budding relationship? After all, in-office romances are usually something that is supposed to be declared to the powers that be in these circumstances.

As viewers will recall, the couple finally gave into their feelings for one another at the end of Season 3, sharing a steamy kiss before closing the cameras out of Janine’s apartment. Where that will pick up is yet to be revealed.

If HR proves a problem for them, the trailer dances around the topic as Ava (Janelle James) approaches the faculty in the break room to inform them, “HR is here today, so if anyone has something they want to file, raise your hand.” When most of them raise their hands, she clarifies by saying, “Not about me.” It’s at that point that many hands go down.

As the video continues, Janine mentions how they recently asked for more money around school programs and received a small budget to purchase class pets, one of which she declares “is a ending.” Also back for plenty of fun are Jacob (Chris Perfetti), Barbara (Sheryl Lee Ralph), Melissa (Lisa Ann Walter), and Mr. Johnson (William Stanford Davis).
