A man was arrested Wednesday after deputies say he barricaded himself inside a storage trailer armed with a gun.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was arrested Wednesday after deputies say he barricaded himself inside a storage trailer armed with a gun.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release, a call for help came in just before 9:30 am about a male trespassing at a commercial business in the 4000 block of Broadway. When deputies arrived, the man identified as 49-year-old Christopher Todd Barrow of Macon, barricaded himself inside a trailer unit.

Deputies say Barrow had a warrant for his arrest and refused to exit the trailer, threatening to shoot deputies if they entered.

SWAT members, K-9 Interdiction, hostage negotiators and reporters responded and determined Barrow was contained by himself inside the trailer without a hostage. SWAT members were eventually able to remove him from the barricaded area, and a firearm was recovered, according to deputies.

Deputies say Barrow was treated for “minor injury” on scene by paramedics.

He’s charged with terroristic threats and acts and is being held in the Bibb County Jail. He was also wanted in Toombs County.
