Flyers’ Matvei Michkov NHL 25 Rating Revealed: First Look

Fans hoping to see Philadelphia Flyers rookie star Matvei Michkov play in EA Sports NHL 25 are in luck; the 19-year-old is on the game’s default roster this year.

Famed NHL YouTuber and content creator TacTixHD revealed on Wednesday afternoon that Michkov had been included in the Flyers’ opening roster, but along with a gray silhouette headshot, Michkov’s rating for the game was revealed for the first time.

Michkov’s first official rating on the EA Sports NHL team is 82 out of a maximum of 99 overall. For comparison, the San Jose Sharks rookie Macklin Celebrinithe number 1 pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, also had a score of 82.

Chicago Blackhawks star Connor Bedardlast year’s No. 1 overall pick began his second NHL season with 88 points. In 2023, Michkov was considered by some to be equal to or just below Bedard in terms of talent, but absurd external factors eventually sent Michkov down draft boards and into the Flyers’ arms.

For fans who enjoy playing the NHL series’ Franchise mode, Michkov He has been given High Elite Potential, meaning that he has a very high chance of becoming an elite player. While the probabilities scale from low to medium to high, the next step up from Elite Potential is Franchise Potential.

The Flyers rookie’s highlights, based on his 82 base rating, include 88 wrist shot power, 87 slap shot power, 90 offensive awareness, 89 passing, 88 agility, 87 puck control and 86 speed.

However, those who watched Michkov’s early performances with the Flyers know that his balance ratings of 75 and his posing ratings of 80 are pretty off. Would you believe me if I told you that Michkov’s wrist shot and slap shot accuracy ratings were both only 79?

There’s a good chance that many of these numbers will increase toward the end of the Flyers’ 2024-25 season. Since the game hasn’t been officially released yet, these ratings are subject to change.
