Tickets for 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup in UAE go on sale with free entry for U18s

Tickets for the Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE went on sale on Wednesday, with the cheapest ticket costing as little as Dh5 (approximately Rs. 114).

Tickets went on sale just over a week before the tournament’s opening match on October 3.

The event was originally scheduled to be held in Bangladesh but was postponed to the UAE due to political unrest in the South Asian country following student protests over job quotas.

“Tickets have been priced with accessibility in mind, starting at just AED 5, with premium seating options available for AED 40 (Rs 910). For dual match days, a single ticket provides access to both matches,” the ICC said in a statement.

Entry will be free for everyone under the age of 18.

“For added convenience, there will also be kiosks at the Dubai International Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium for offline ticket purchases,” the statement said.

Ten countries, including reigning World Cup champions Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and the West Indies, will compete for the title on October 20.
