Stunning Facial Render Comparisons Of Top Stars

Stunning Facial Render Comparisons Of Top Stars

EA FC 25 releases worldwide on September 27, but it was available on September 20 for fans who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition. One of the first questions consumers and fans of the series will ask is: how much better is EA FC 25 than EA FC 24?

I’m still trying to determine the answer to that question, but I can tell you I see a slight difference in the art style between the two games.

Which is better? That might be a matter of preference rather than a simple this-one-or-that-one answer. That said, I’ve taken side-by-side images of the renders for 10 of the sport’s biggest stars beginning with Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe above.

While the lighting is obviously different in the lede photos, the EA FC 24 image seems to have a bit more of a glossy look. It’s likely the same head render but with different lighting and shaders, the EA FC 25 render looks different.

I like both and both renders show off the mastery of a diverse grade of hair. I’m convinced, no sports video game has a better handle on hair than EA FC. Whether it is from a movement or texture-capturing standpoint, this team nails it with all hair types.

Mbappe’s waves are on point. Let’s look at the side-by-sides for nine other top stars.

EA FC 24 vs. EA FC 25 – Jude Bellingham

The cover athlete from EA FC 24 looks slightly different in EA FC 25. His face appears a little longer and his jaw looks a little more square. I’m not sure this difference is a product of lighting, though some of the same differences in the Mbappe comparison are present here too.

EA FC 24 vs. EA FC 25 – Robert Lewandowski

Both of the Lewandowski renders look strong, but I favor the EA FC 24 look a little more. It looks a lot less like a video game.

EA FC 24 vs. EA FC 25 – Vini Jr.

I believe EA has some work to do to improve Vini Jr’s rendering in the game. There is something off about the head shape, and when looking at this real-life image of the Real Madrid star, you can see the differences.

EA FC 24 vs. EA FC 25 – Lionel Messi

The GOAT looks strong in both games, but I’m a fan of the way the lighting in EA FC 25 brings out Messi’s more distinct features.

EA FC 24 vs. EA FC 25 – Bukayo Saka

Arsenal’s 23-year-old star somehow looks even younger in EA FC 25. The players in the newest version may have thinner necks, making the models look younger.

EA FC 24 vs. EA FC 25 – Cristiano Ronaldo

The Ronaldo renders feel identical, with the only difference being the head angle and lighting.

EA FC 24 vs. EA FC 25 – Erling Haaland

The Haaland renders seem to go against the grain compared to the others. The EA FC 25 version is the one that looks more realistic for some reason, but both have noteworthy details that shouldn’t disappoint.

EA FC 24 vs. EA FC 25 – Kevin De Bruyne

De Bruyne has one of the most different looks of any top player from EA FC 24 to EA FC 25. The hairstyle update is accurate. The image below is from a September 18 UEFA Champions League Phase MD1 match. However, you could make a strong case that the skin tone is inaccurate.

EA FC 24 vs. EA FC 25 – Mo Salah

EA consistently nails Salah’s renders, and there is very little difference between EA FC 24 and EA FC 25 with the Liverpool star. EA’s renders make the beautiful game look great regardless of how you slice it.
