CTRL Release Date:

‘CTRL’ will be released on Netflix on October 4.

Ananya, in her official statement, emphasised that the film will make the audience rethink their dependency on technology. “CTRL is engaging, impactful and definitely makes you wonder if you are in control of your life. Given the exponential advancement in technology and our increasing dependency on it, I truly believe this film is for everyone. What better platform than Netflix to reach out to the audience with a narrative as compelling as CTRL?” she said.

Director Vikramaditya Motwane shared that ‘CTRL’ is about exploring how people have less control over their lives in today’s digital age. “With the amount of time we spend on our devices, screen time is now being redefined as screen life! The question is, do we really control or are we being controlled by all the digital extensions of our lives? That’s what CTRL tries to explore. For such a new age concept, we not only needed an cast living such a life but also a relevant medium like Netflix,” he added.

On the work front, Ananya was recently seen in the web series ‘Call Me Bae’ which was renewed for its second season. Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra and Mini Mathur were seen in important roles.

‘CTRL’ is Ananya’s second project on Netflix, after she starred in ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’, which focused on the dark side of social media and its impact on its users.

Vihaan has also worked on two more projects with Netflix, ‘Mismatched’ and ‘Eternally Confused And Eager For Love’. Meanwhile, filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane last directed the critically acclaimed web series ‘Jubliee’, which streamed on Prime Video.
