Mississippi Gulf Coast Casino Operators Holds Corn Hole Tournament to Benefit American Heart Association

The Mississippi Gulf Coast Casino Operators have come together to hold a corn hole tournament at Treasure Bay Casino.

The event was held with the goal of raising over $25,000 for the American Heart Association.

“Today we are at the Casino Corn Hole Tournament to benefit the American Heart Association. We brought together the contingents from every casino on the Gulf Coast. They all come together to put on a corn hole benefit where every dollar raised stays in our community,” said Tiffany Alsbury, Director of Development.

“I’m on the executive leadership team for Heart Walk this year,” said Susan Varnes, Treasure Bay President. “We put our brains together to figure out how we could get the casino industry involved. All the casino operators went out to lunch and decided to do a cornhole tournament. We have a very competitive group in the casino industry, so I can’t wait to get this started.”

“This is for the American Heart Association, so it’s for their charity, but we feel like the trophy is for us,” said Scottie Hebert, HR Business Partner at Harrah’s.

The money raised from this event will also go towards the Gulf Coast Heart Walk on September 28th.
