‘High Potential’ Premiere Ratings Reach 11.5 Million Viewers in 3 Days

The first episode of the series “”High Potential” production achieved a 220% increase in viewership after three days of multi-platform viewing.

The first broadcast reached an average of 3.6 million viewers ABC On September 17, according to Nielsen’s Live + Same Day data. But that number jumped to 11.5 million viewers when Hulu, Hulu on Disney+ and digital platforms were factored in. And in the adults 18-49 demographic, the episode jumped 354% to a 1.59 Multiplatform + 3 rating after a 0.35 debut.

Additionally, its 18-49 rating, excluding linear repeats, reached a 1.31 after three days — the highest for an ABC drama series premiere since “Big Sky” launched in November 2020. “High Potential” also landed in Hulu’s Top 15, where it spent three consecutive days at No. 1 through Sept. 22. In the Live + Same Day category, “High Potential” became the most-watched broadcast series in its time slot, beating out repeats of NBC’s “Password” and CBS’s “FBI: Most Wanted,” which aired at 10 p.m. that night.

Starring Kaitlin Olson as Morgan, the series “follows a single mother with an unconventional talent for solving crimes who forms an unlikely and unstoppable partnership with a seasoned detective named Karadec, played by Daniel Sunjata.” The cast also includes Javicia Leslie as Daphne, Deniz Akdeniz as Lev “Oz” Ozdil, Amirah J as Ava, Matthew Lamb as Elliot, and Judy Reyes as Selena.

Drew Godard created the series based on the French series Haut Potentiel Intellectuel (HPI). He and Sarah Esberg serve as executive producers for Goddard Textiles, along with showrunners Todd Harthan and Dan Etheridge and Rob Thomas. Olson is the producer. The studio is ABC Signature.
