Astro Bot Announces Free Speedrun DLC With New Stellar Blade and HELLDIVERS 2 Exclusive Bots

After the big launch in early September, some free DLC Astrobot Confirmed in a flashy way at the September 2024 PlayStation State of Play showcase new trailerThe DLC is planned to be completely free for all players and will be released in the fall of this year.

First off, the free DLC will add five new online speedrunning stages for players to compete in. These stages include: Astro Bot’s Playroom then they’ll present quite a challenge with very little room for error. In the trailer, we saw that these stages will take place in familiar local scenes from the main film. Astrobot galaxies and will feature many of the gadgets used in the main game.

You can use these leaderboards to compete against your PlayStation Friends or even the entire world.

New Speedrun Stages

Perhaps the most striking new information in the trailer is that there will be 10 new Bots to rescue. These new additions will include names like the savior-loving Helldivers Hell Divers 2 and also from the evil android EVE Star Sword. Whether the other eight Bots will include more characters from these franchises – for example Star Sword Adam, Lily or Raven – haven’t made an appearance yet, but it appears they’re from other Sony series.

According to the PlayStation Blog post we mentioned earlier, Saving these Bots will involve beating the cheeky birds to the finish line in new speedrun stagesWith ten new Bots to find, there should be two Bots to rescue on each level, each with a different time requirement, presumably. In the trailer, we see EVE Bot firing a rocket after a failed attempt to defeat the mischievous blue bird, so make sure you brush up on your platforming skills if you want to get all these new Bots back to the Landing Site.

The new Bots will also have Gacha Lab-related items, two of which we see in the trailer. Helldiver’s item is of course a great standard one bearing the Super World seal, while EVE can enjoy drinks in a replica of the vending machines seen here Star Sword resting places.
