Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid make their Catch restaurant look cool

We can call this a comeback.

Over the weekend, Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid dined at The Corner Store in SoHo, giving Catch Hospitality’s new restaurant some cred.

The restaurant owners behind Catch and Catch Steak have suddenly found popularity after years of being dismissed by New Yorkers as expensive and uncool tourist attractions.

Meg Radice, who runs the food review account The VIP List, which has 460,000 followers on TikTok and eats out frequently, said of The Corner Store, “It’s the Polo Bar vibe without the Karens.”

“It’s the hottest restaurant in New York right now,” he added. “I was thinking about it before Taylor Swift even walked through the door.”

The new spot focuses on classic cocktails, with a dedicated menu section and even a $40 “Martini Service” for two.

The food menu also includes nostalgic but pricey comfort food, like the $18.50 pepperoni “pizza roll” appetizer, $24.99 artichoke dip and $68 lobster fries.

Corner Store is Catch Hospitality’s first restaurant in five years and the first location not to use the word “Catch” in its name.

The group opened the first Catch in the Meatpacking District in September 2011. It was one of a group of club-restaurants that were buzzing at the time, along with venues like Tao Downtown and Buddakan, serving viral menus in cavernous spaces with blaring music.

Catch expanded to Los Angeles in 2016 and has attracted stars like Paris Hilton, the Kardashians, Cindy Crawford and Sylvester Stallone. The menu features items like chicken lettuce cups, tuna on crispy rice cakes and #HitMe chocolate cake.

But over the years, Gothamites have largely moved away from this once-popular spot, and it has become a place filled with out-of-towners, wannabe models, and teenagers swiping their parents’ American Express cards.

It’s become so out of fashion that its low status prompted an entire storyline on “The Real Housewives of New York” last season.

Stars Brynn Whitfield and Sai De Silva declined fellow star Erin Lichy’s invitation to dine at the restaurant, saying they were “too tired” but later found the energy to go to Casa Cipriani and laugh that Catch was for “D-list models”.

Bravo initially censored the name of the culprit restaurant in the episode — raising curiosity — but Lichy later confirmed it The restaurant in question was indeed Catch.

“There was a catch,” he explained on Sirius XM’s “Jeff Lewis Live”“It was easy to book last minute for a large group,” he said.

Getting a table at The Corner Store is tough right now. Resy isn’t currently showing availability for the next 14 days — in terms of the restaurant taking reservations in advance. Co-founder and partner Eugene Remm told The Post that the restaurant already has a waiting list.

Radice said he had to go through a “friend of a friend” to get a reservation.

Joseph Bonvouloir, founder and CEO of financial firm ALTI, said his friends were scrambling for a table.

“Everyone is trying to get in, but even for my friends who are VIPs everywhere, it’s incredibly challenging,” said Bonvouloir, 28.

Those who made it out include Brazilian journalist/model Pedro Andrade, “it girl” Christina “Tinx” Najjar, author/influencer Eli Rallo and former “Housewife” Bethenny Frankel.

The latter loved the restaurant’s $22 Caesar salad, which featured crispy cream cheese crumbles and, to top it all off, bagel croutons.

“Oh my god,” she said in a TikTok video. “We’re here and we’re cool.”

Despite such a clientele and a menu full of dishes with viral potential, Remm said they weren’t specifically trying to appeal to the influencer audience, but were “grateful to anyone who wanted to share their experience with their friends and followers.”

“We are very pleased with the interest our guests have shown in our new restaurant,” he added.
