We can’t say for ourselves if this is true or not, as we haven’t tested it yet. However, the keyboard’s specifications suggest that the Apex Pro Gen 3 could definitely give gamers an advantage. The new switches are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to improvements. SteelSeries Apex Pro Gen 3 is equipped with Quick Trigger and Quick Touch as part of an all-new suite of GG Quickset software features to further enhance the gaming experience.

The Apex Pro Gen 3 launches today with a starting price of $219.99, so it’s certainly not the most expensive keyboard on the market, but it’s designed for high-level competitive play. It’s also not cheap, which means the price will be a barrier to entry for at least some consumers.

SteelSeries Apex Pro Gen 3 is powered by powerful software tricks

OmniPoint 3.0 switches powered by Hall Effect sensors will be a big part of what draws consumers in. However, the GG Quickset software features will take things to the next level. The switches will allow gamers to adjust actuation levels with up to 40 different settings. Actuation can be as low as 0.1mm and as high as 4.0mm. So there’s a lot of adjustability there for gamers to fine-tune to their liking.

To make things even better, players can tap on GG Quickset. Features like Rapid Tap within this software suite prioritize the last key pressed so you don’t have to release the previous key before the action occurs. This allows for faster input.
