Free ‘Ballet and the Beast’ show to be held at Montgomery Zoo on Friday

MONTGOMERY, Alabama (WSF) – ‘Ballet and the Beast’ is back for a 2024 performance at the Montgomery Zoo & Wildlife Learning Museum! The free performance will take place Friday evening.

Annual performance is presented by: Montgomery Ballet In collaboration with Troy University, Alabama State University and the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra.

Organizers say the 2024 event will be a five-part performance with Montgomery Ballet opening the evening with: Carnival of the Animals and Classical Ballet Animals Two dance performances from Troy University and Alabama State University will follow. There will also be a musical performance by the Montgomery Symphony Quartet.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, as well as non-perishable or canned food to support the fundraiser. Heart of Alabama Food Bank.

Before the show starts, those who arrive will have the opportunity to watch a live animal presentation organized by the zoo’s education unit.
