Michael B. Jordan to Star in Ryan Coogler Movie

Ryan Coogler put Michael B. Jordan took him to Wakanda in the boxing ring. Now he’s putting him in a whole new situation in the first trailer SinnersVampire movie from Warner Bros.

In the mysterious preview, Jordan’s Smoke says via voiceover: “I’ve been all over this world. I’ve seen people die in ways I never even knew were possible.”

Looking at images of people running from unseen danger and someone arriving at church with his face drawn on, he adds: “Of all the things I’ve seen, I’ve never seen a demon, a ghost or magic.”

The trailer ends with a scene where Jordan leads a group of people ready to fight, and a preacher says, “If you keep dancing with the devil, one day he’ll follow you home.”

Offering a “new vision of horror,” the synopsis reads: “Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start over, only to discover that a greater evil is ready to welcome them back.”

Written and directed by Coogler, the film stars Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller and Delroy Lindo.

Coogler is one of the most sought-after filmmakers today, and Sinners is particularly eagerly anticipated because it offers a chance to bring an original work to the screen, rather than working from existing intellectual property. Warner Bros. won the rights to the film following an auction in February, with a unique provision that stipulates that the rights will be returned to the filmmaker after a few years.

Coogler and Jordan have a long history together, with the actor appearing in all of Coogler’s films dating back to the 2013 Sundance drama. Fruit Valley StationTogether, they reinvented Rocky The franchise of the 2015s BeliefCoogler’s first studio feature film.

And as Coogler was stepping into 2018’s superstar filmmaker status, Jordan was right alongside him as the antagonist Killmonger. Coogler produces Sinners With Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian via Proximity Media. Ludwig Göransson, Will Greenfield and Rebecca Cho are executive producers.

The studio set up the film for one Release date: March 7, 2025.
