Taylor Polidore Williams, Crystle Stewart in Tyler Perry Series

Taylor Polidore Williams and Crystle Stewart battle it out amid sex, scandal and corporate intrigue in the film’s official trailer Beauty in Black, Tyler Perry‘s first drama NetflixThe decline began on Tuesday.

Previous trailer for Beauty in Black It sheds light on the different paths in the lives of the characters played by Williams and Stewart. Cruelty Stewart, who stars as Mallory, becomes wealthy running the family business, but Williams’ Kimmie struggles as a stripper living in a squalid motel after her mother kicks her out.

But the latest trailer reveals that Kimmie’s life changes when she crosses paths with Horace, a customer at her club played by Ricco Ross, who becomes her gateway into a wealthy but dysfunctional family behind a cosmetics conglomerate and a devious business scheme.

“You think this is a game,” Kimmie tells a wary Horace at one point in the trailer, before adding, “I’m in.” That puts her on a collision course with Mallory, who’s faced with a threat to her family’s brand, and Mallory says from the back of a limo, “I want to know who’s behind this.”

The cast of Perry also includes Amber Reign Smith (Rain), Debbi Morgan (Olivia), Richard Lawson (Norman), Steven G. Norfleet (Charles), Julian Horton (Roy) and Terrell Carter (Varney).

The Beauty in Black is part of the drama Perry’s overall deal with the publisher. The 16-episode, one-hour drama was written, directed and produced by Perry.

Beauty in Black From Tyler Perry Studios It will be released in two parts, with the first eight episodes set to air on October 24. A release date for Part 2 has not yet been announced.
