Alfred Dunhill Connections: What was said?

Local hero MacIntyre will be joined by his father Dougie at the 2024 Dunhill Links.

Dougie carried Bob’s bag to victory at the Canadian Open in June and now the pair will reunite for another major title.

“I am really looking forward to playing at St Andrews,” MacIntyre said.

“I can’t believe there hasn’t been a Scottish winner since 2005. It would be great if I could change that.

“I am also incredibly excited to be able to play with my dad at the Old Course in the Team Championship.

“It’s fantastic that we get to play together in a real Championship at the Home of Golf.

“When my dad was on the bag in Hamilton and we won it was a very special moment for us. Now we can see what we can do with the sticks in our hands.”
