Blackstreet Returns to the Charts, Ranking for the First Time

Blackstreet is still together after decades, but the vocal group hasn’t released new music in years. Today, the four guys who make up the boy band have scored a surprising hit with one song Billboard This week on the chart, we return to weekly totals for the first time in a while.

“Don’t Leave Me” is Blackstreet’s first hit on the TikTok chart. The number was announced just over a year ago, long after the band’s time in the spotlight. Listeners and TikTokers discovered the track and turned it into a shocking triumph.

Blackstreet has one of 13 debuts on the TikTok Billboard Top 50. That would be a big number for most rankings, but not for the TikTok-exclusive issue, which is full of songs that have skyrocketed on the platform. “Don’t Leave Me” is the latest of the new wins, but it’s notable that it even made the list.

Blackstreet took “Don’t Leave Me” to #1 on several radio charts, including Rhythmic Airplay and R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay. It came close to cracking the top 10 on both the Radio Songs and Pop Airplay charts, but fell short of that territory on either chart.
