(Q): How did you get into the gaming world?

(A) Loki: Our journey into the world of video games began more than thirty years ago. Leator’s family always had a computer, and he learned how to launch games in MS-DOS before he could read or write. His first game was the original Persian PrinceWhen the Game Boy came out, we both got it as our first game console, and it was my first game Super Mario Land.

We played many different games over the years before we met indoors. Titanfall Beta on the then newly released Xbox One. We met at a random Xbox Live Party by pure chance and strangers became friends.

(Q): How did you become part of this team? Sea of Thieves society?

(A) Reader: Before becoming part of any community, most of the time Sea of Thieves We were interested in the game since it was first announced, we played the Alpha and of course we played it from day one. After we ‘finished’ the game to a certain point, we took a two-year break and came back with the launch of the Xbox Series X. That’s when Loki started publishing the game.

A year later, the German Affiliate Alliance Community asked us to publish their monthly events. This was the first time we felt part of a larger community and started to look beyond our little Sloop.

Part of something bigger: Loki and Leator have indeed found their home in the Sea of Thieves.

(Q): How did creating content become your ‘job’?

(A) Loki: Shortly after meeting Leator, I was approached by Microsoft’s Upload team. They had seen my video clips online and publicly available, which I didn’t know existed. They liked my little experiment and invited me to be a featured Upload creator. This gave me great opportunities, like going to Gamescom with the Microsoft team. I also tried streaming on Twitch at that time because I love the chat and the interaction between the streamer. However, I stopped making content in the latter part of my studies to focus on my future and came back to it when the Xbox Series X came out.

(Q): How do you decide what kind of content to create?

(A) Loki: I personally started streaming horror games, which is still my favorite genre and is still a part of my weekly streaming schedule, but the majority of each show is a collaborative effort.

I founded Underpants Brigade, our team and ‘brand’ name for Sea of Thieves, along with Leator. When you’ve been playing as long as we have, you automatically start finding and creating your own challenges, hunting down commendations, records and milestones. And since we hardly ever play off-stream, our ‘normal’ playstyle, mixed with a huge dose of humor and over-the-top camaraderie, automatically becomes our content.

The Underpants Brigade continues to go from strength to strength, even adding Mike Chapman to the roster at SoTFest ’23.

(Q): What are some of the challenges you face when producing content?

(A) Loki: Usually technical issues are the only thing that gives us headaches. But thankfully we have some very dedicated community members to help each other and us, for example one of them helped us find a new and interesting way to show the health bar and ammunition wherever we wanted.

But something more specific to our co-creation: Since we live a few hours away from each other, we have to be very organized and logistical about our streaming setups. Especially when we do a special stream like our couch streams or our food streams. Sea of Thieves: The Cookbook output.

(Q): What different channels do you have?

(A) Reader: Naturally, you can find us on Twitch. But remember, we are a dynamic duo like Batman and Robin. Loki is the charismatic face of our streams his Twitch channelwhere he also publishes his other content and I mostly take part in social media like Underpants Brigade Twitter And Instagram. So, come for the streams, but stay for the jokes!

(Q): What was the most memorable? Sea of Thieves How much time has passed so far?

(A) Reader: During our approximately four-year publishing life, Sea of ThievesWe had many great moments both in the game and in real life. One of the best moments was Sea of Thieves Partners in March 2023. But also the other memories we create with the community. We went to our first SoTFest in 2022, we didn’t know what to expect but we had such a great time meeting some great people that we always look forward to going again. (SoTFest 2025, WHEN?)

In-game, one of Loki’s most memorable moments was the Underpants Brigade becoming the first official Lootless Pirate Legends! My personal favorite moment was playing Tall Tales with THE Mike “Chappers” Chapman. It was like watching a Mickey Mouse cartoon with Walt Disney himself.

Loki and Leator met with the team multiple times to ask them questions about the game and Obsidian Underpants.

(Q): What are you enjoying most about the game right now and what are you looking forward to in the future?

(A) Reader: Even though Season 11 was released months ago, playing different Trading Companies still feels rewarding thanks to the increased level caps. But at the same time, the return of our Lord and Savior, King Flameheart and his new flagship has shaken up our gaming routine.

We have to say that for legal reasons, we are looking forward to the Obsidian Panties the most.

(Q): Is there anything you’ve accomplished in the games that you’re particularly proud of?

(A) Loki: As I mentioned, we recently released the first Lootless Pirate Legends, but it obviously took longer than we expected.

But we’ve achieved so many special successes over the years that it’s hard to pick one in particular. For example, we held almost all of Athena’s records as a Sloop duo for a long time, we won the Gold Hoarder Challenge at Gamescom 2022, and a hilarious feat: we convinced Aaron Greenberg (Xbox Marketing) about the importance of Obsidian Underpants, and he asked about them when he visited Rare in 2023!

Loki and Leator are regulars at gaming events like Gamescom, especially if there’s Sea of Thieves!

(Q): How did you come up with the name of your channel?

(A) Loki: Pretty easy, that’s my gamertag. But that’s the story for the next interview.

(Q): What do you like to do when you’re not streaming?

(A) Reader: As you can imagine, streaming almost full time while working full time doesn’t leave much time for us to spend with our family and friends. However, in the few moments we do have, Loki spends his time working out and I tend to socialize or bother Jo from the Community team on social media. And finally, we both love listening to music.

(Q): What advice would you give to a new content creator?

(A) Loki: Never make making money your main goal. It takes a lot of work to get to the point where you can make enough money to make a decent living, otherwise it may never happen! Just enjoy what you do. Your audience and your mental health will thank you.

Loki and Leator stay true to themselves to having fun with their content, the game, and the community.

(Q): What is one piece of advice you would give to a content creator? Negative to do?

(A) Reader: The biggest mistake you can make is not being honest with yourself and trying to imitate someone else because eventually, either your facade will break and you will destroy everything you have worked for or you will burn out.

(Q): Can you give us one more random fact about yourself?

(A) Reader: What’s surprising is that Loki has wanted to learn to play the saxophone for years, but he just couldn’t find the right time to start.

Loki: It’s hard to get rid of Leator, he just clings! Sasje and I have been together for almost 20 years and our friendship has already passed the 10-year milestone.

Many thanks to these two troubled people who answered our questions. We wish our friendship and sailing on the seas for the next 10 years. We look forward to the interesting questions and gifts they will bring us at the next event!
