Vacaville to host veterans’ charity poker tournament – ​​The Vacaville Reporter

The “United We Stand” charity poker tournament will be held Oct. 26 at the Veterans Memorial Building at 549 Merchant St. in Vacaville.

The event will begin at 4 p.m. with a free dinner and beverages, Jeff Jewell, adjutant general of the Vacaville Rago Christopher American Legion Post 165, said in a press release.

Card games start at 17:00 in an area with a capacity of 100 people.

The game donation is $75 per person. Early bird tickets purchased before October 15 are $70 and will receive an additional $500 in chips.

Prizes include five gift certificates starting at $500.

Jewell, an Air Force veteran and longtime veterans advocate, added in a prepared statement that proceeds will support programs for Airmen at Travis Air Force Base, American Legion Post 165 funds for Gold Star Families, American Legion Baseball, Boys State, scouting programs, veterans rehabilitation and the Travis AFB Fisher Houses.
