UAPD has released more information about the shooting that occurred at a volleyball court next to an Arizona-Sonora dormitory in the middle of the night.

Officers arrived at the scene around 11 p.m. Sunday night and found a college-aged man lying next to a car. Officers say the suspect shot the man after a fight involving several people. Witnesses took the victim to a car to take him to the hospital but waited in the parking lot for first responders. When officers and medical personnel arrived, they attempted life-saving measures, but the victim ultimately died.

The suspect has not been located. He is described as being 6ft tall, between the ages of 19 and 25. He has collar-length curly hair and a beard. He is wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt and tan shorts.

UAPD will be conducting additional patrols today to search for the shooter.
