Update: NIGO and Nike have officially announced their long-awaited first partnership, kicking off with the duo’s joint Air Force 3 Low silhouette – “Blue Void” – and an apparel line.

“Nike truly holds many masterpieces. The AF3 is a hidden masterpiece that I remember loving back then. Through my first collaboration with Nike, I want to reintroduce everyone to its glory,” NIGO said in a statement.

“When I decided to work with Nike, I went to Nike World Headquarters and was so inspired by the archives, the lab, and the team working there,” he continued. “Everything I saw had a huge impact on the project. There’s still a lot to do, so please look forward to the Nike and NIGO project. It’s the beginning of a long and exciting journey.”

The Air Force 3 Low “Blue Void” references some of NIGO’s favorite movies and television shows throughout its design, and according to a press release, future releases from the duo will continue to nod to NIGO’s rolodex of cultural inspiration. The “Blue Void” features an upper constructed with a blend of rubber outsole, midsole foam, and embossed leathers with graphic hits on the tongue and heel.

As for the apparel aspect of the launch, NIGO x Nike features a varsity jacket and hoodie, each designed in light of NIGO’s cultural influences, as are the sneakers.

In addition to its October 4 release on SNKRS, the capsule will be released exclusively at Otsumo Plaza in Tokyo and the “I Know Nigo 2” pop-up in New York on September 28. Take a closer look at the joints in the gallery above and revisit the original story below.

Original Story: More than a year has passed Rumor has it HE NIGO He had signed with Nike The Japanese designer, who has previously worked with adidas through its Human Made brand, has released a pair of Air Force 3 Lows a few months later, it has led many to wonder if a project related to the silhouette is in the works. In June, he showed it in his Spring/Summer 2025 show for KENZO colorful couple Confirming the upcoming campaign are the collaborative Air Force 3 Lows.

Now, right after the launch of NIGO x Nike Promotional graphicWe get our first look at the AF3 Low’s “Blue Void” colorway. Delivered in special packaging that the duo previously teased, the wildly colorful design sees patent leather spread across the upper of the shoe, with blue, red, yellow, and pink clashing across the sneaker. One of the shoe’s signature touches is the silver “NIGO FORCE” detail on the heel, with a Swoosh sandwiched between the two words.

At the time of writing, neither NIGO nor Nike have shared when their first project featuring the Air Force 3 Low will release. However, based on Nike’s new teaser graphic for the project, which can be found below, it’s likely to be released soon. A tentative release window is expected this fall via Nike SNKRS and select retailers for $160 USD. Stay tuned for updates as we can expect much more from the two in the near future.
