Cat Deeley is wearing the burgundy dress of my dreams – and it’s from the high street

It was only a matter of time Deeley the cat has emerged in this season’s most popular shade. As predicted on the AW24 catwalks, burgundy is everywhere. On Monday, the stylish TV star wore it in the form of an asymmetrical minidress and I loved it.

Cat, 47, looked radiant in the photo she shared on her Instagram stories. She captioned the photo with a description of the labels she was wearing – and they were both high street brands.

I had my eye on you & Other Stories dress for a while. It’s cut with long sleeves and a round neck to balance out the shorter length, and it also has a lovely pleat detail on one side, which creates a cool asymmetrical hem. It’s fully lined and closes with a zip at the neck.

At a retail price of £125 ($179), it’s a little pricey for a high street brand but you’ll get a lot of use out of it.

Hailed as the colour of the season, with brands including Prada, Gucci and Victoria Beckham showing off their looks at AW24, the high street is awash with burgundy pieces if you want to get the Cat look without buying her exact dress. The colour suits all skin tones and also complements other autumnal colours such as camel and navy perfectly.
