For some reason, Google TV Streamer is only available for pre-order in the US, but the September 24 launch date signifies international availability. Before Tuesday, some around the world were able to purchase (and unbox) the Google TV Streamer.

Over the weekend, there were reports of people seeing Google TV Streamer England, GermanAnd Canadian stores. In fact, some have been able to purchase the devices, take them home and install them.

There is one day one software updateIf a person It was reported Of the 32 GB, 24 GB is usable storage.

The unboxing shows the new Voice Remote and Google TV Streamer side by side. They are almost the same length. In the box, they are surrounded by a USB adapter and a USB-C to USB-A cable (1.8M).

Each of these four pieces fits into its own tray, while the two outer pieces bend (at a right angle) to fit inside the box and fit inside the box without an outer case, just like the Pixel 9, Pixel Watch 3, and Nest Learning Thermostat. The whole thing is held in place by a plastic cover in the tray.

A better example of this comes from Google Plastic-Free Packaging Design Guide:

  • “An inbox component consisted of a hinged/foldable insert with a compatible “lid.” Ideally, the cover material should be thin, have good flexibility, and tear resistance.”
  • “Evenly distributed product pressure over a fine fiber surface with significantly less material usage compared to two trays.”
  • “Allows the entire insert (or tray) to be removed as a unit with little or no risk of products falling out prematurely”
