SA Youth celebrates 40 years of empowering and educating the community

SAN ANTONIO – Community has been the cornerstone of SA Youth for the last forty years.

The nonprofit organization is known for its dedication to providing education and opportunities for San Antonio’s youth. This year marks SA Youth’s 40th anniversary, and the city is coming together to celebrate.

SA Youth will be holding a birthday party on October 11th from 18:00 to 22:00 at the Mexican Cultural Institute.

“SA Youth has been a driving force in addressing generational inequalities and providing essential support to San Antonio’s most vulnerable populations,” a spokesperson said. “SA Youth has been at the forefront of creating opportunities and promoting resilience.”

At the event, Judge Cruz Shaw and 5th District Councilwoman Terri Castillo will speak about the organization’s impact. KSAT reporter Avery Everett will emcee the celebration and lead an alumni panel showcasing inspiring stories of individuals who have graduated from the program.

The evening’s main focus will be on students past and present. Artwork by SA Youth Students and San Antonio artists will be on display throughout the event, and a cake will be cut to recognize those who have overcome adversity with the help of the nonprofit.
