New Microsoft Copilot PCs Can’t Play Popular Games

If you’re a gamer and you rushed to get a Copilot+ PC to stay ahead of the AI, you might be kicking yourself right now. While Microsoft’s new PCs are top-notch when it comes to AI, they can’t play some of the most popular games, like Fortnite.

Microsoft claims these computers are up to 20x more powerful and 100x more efficient with AI than previous models, with advanced AI features like Recall (for finding stored items) and Cocreator (for creating and editing images).

These computers support various applications running natively on Arm, such as Chrome, Spotify, Zoom, WhatsApp, Adobe Photoshop, and more.

Different Chips Prevent Games from Working Properly

Qualcomm also spoke out, stating that the chips used in Copilot+ are not for gaming purposes. However, they are working to resolve the issue.

One issue that has caused the chips to not work well in games is the anti-cheat software built into some games like Fortnite. Qualcomm said it is working with Fortnite developer Epic Games for better compatibility.

Intel is also working on its own chips for the AI-powered Copilot+ PC. These are expected to be released this month.
