Intense Korean Action Thriller ‘I, The Executioner’ International Trailer

“If the situation becomes dangerous, are we allowed to respond with force?” Capelight Pictures has released a new official U.S. trailer for its Korean action thriller “The Night Out.” I, the Executionerwill be shown at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival soon this month. It first premiered in the Midnight section at Cannes and is expected to receive better reviews. It is a sequel to director Ryoo Seung-wan’s 2015 film. SeniorBut this new thriller has a new name. I, the Executioner It follows Detective Seo Do-cheol, head of the Violent Crimes Investigation Unit, as he faces a major crisis. TIFF hypes it: “The film’s critique of injustice and the abuse of social media, as well as its reflection of societal disillusionment with the legal system, is timely – rooted in a collective global consciousness. Spectacular action set pieces and carefully composed editing – enhanced by chilling sound design – deliver high levels of tension and suspense within an emotionally charged narrative.” Starring Jung Hae In, Hwang Jung Min, Jang Yoon-juAnd Ah Dal-suIt’s gotten some good reviews so far and looks pretty cool – it’s described as “a very moving experience”.
