Community Foundation of Clinton County sets deadline for next grant applications | News, Sports, Jobs

Clinton County Community Foundation’s next grant applications for 2025 are available starting October 1. The deadline for 2025 grant applications is Monday, December 2, at 17:00.

“The board moved up the deadline this year, so applicants need to be aware that the deadline is right after the Thanksgiving holiday and about two weeks earlier than in previous years.” Dennis Trout, chairman of the Foundation’s board of directors, announced this, according to a news release.

The Foundation, which approved nearly $600,000 in grants, committed funds and scholarships this calendar year, expects another strong round of grants in 2025, the news release said.

Earlier this year, the Foundation board reviewed more than 75 grant applications before narrowing the field to just over 60. Eligible organizations must be located in Clinton County or prove their services benefit Clinton County residents. Applicants must be either a government entity/political subdivision or a nonprofit organization with an IRS-recognized 501(c) designation.

Grant funds are not intended for administrative or labor costs.

“Since its founding in 1968, the Clinton County Community Foundation has provided millions of dollars to nonprofit community organizations, charities, fire and ambulance companies, and municipalities serving the county.” It was said in the news release: “And thanks to the many charitable donors over the years who want to see a strong Clinton County, the donations continue.”
