8 best new K-dramas to watch in October 2024, including Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born

A particularly long summer in Korea has finally come to an end, but our screens will continue to heat up throughout October thanks to a schedule full of exciting new TV series.

1. Color Our Love

Shin Min-a and Kim Young-dae’s romantic vehicle No Gain No Love ends this month, October will begin with a short spin-off series Sweeten Our LoveFocusing on the intriguing secondary romantic leads played by Lee Sang-yi (Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha) and Han Ji-hyun (Penthouse).

Inside No Gain No LoveHan plays Nam Ja-yeon, a writer of erotic internet novels, while Lee plays a company heir. In this event series, players will portray characters from one of Nam’s steamy novels. (TV broadcast, October 3)

2. Family by Choice

Kim San-ha (Hwang In-youp, True Beauty), Yun Ju-won (Jung Chae-yeon, Golden Spoon) and Kang Hae-jun (Bae Hyun-sung, Our Blues) are young people raised by Ju-won’s father, Jeong-jae, and San-ha’s father, Dae-uk, who form a close bond during an unconventional adolescence spent together.

The five eventually go their separate ways and reunite ten years later. Many things have happened in the meantime; At least San-ha and Hae-jun now have romantic feelings for Ju-won. (JTBC, October 9)
