‘CTRL’ director Vikramaditya Motwane reveals if the film was inspired by THIS Hollywood film

Because expectations are high Ananya Panday is ready to star in the upcoming thrillerCTRL‘ and since the trailer was released, netizens started comparing the film to the Jim Carrey starrer. Hollywood ‘Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind’ movie and now director Vikramaditya has answered whether Ananya Panday’s leading lady was inspired by Kate Winslet’s leading lady.
Speaking to News18 Showsha, Vikramaditya shared that even at the script stage, they knew that audiences would compare the film to ‘Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind’. “But it’s okay to make comparisons,” he said. Interestingly, he said that ‘CTRL’ also includes portions of the Hollywood movie ‘Her’, starring Scarlett Johansson and Joaquin Phoenix.
The ‘CTRL’ director, who also praised the Hollywood fantasy movie ‘Eternal Sunshine Of Spotless Mind’, said that he was impressed by Jim Carrey’s leading actor, especially the script, which he hailed as ‘Fantastic’.
Vikramaditya said: “The direction and acting of ‘Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind’ is incredible. It is undoubtedly a masterpiece of our modern times. But CTRL is not like that.”
‘CTRL’ will start streaming on OTT from October 4. This thriller features Ananya Panday in the lead role as well as a large cast. Other actors in the film include Devika Vatsa, Ravish Desai, Suchita Trivedi, Kamakshi Bhat, Vihaan Samat and much more.
