South African star Tyla announces 2024 performance… in South Africa

The wait is finally over for local Tyla fans, the ‘Tygers,’ as the artist announces her plan to headline a show in her home country, Cape {town} Etc. reports.

The performance will take place in December and the artist has already sparked mass excitement for her ‘homecoming’ of sorts.

The South African singer and songwriter is known for shining a light on popiano, a fusion of the pop and amapiano genres.

She is best know for her hits ‘Water’ and ‘Jump,’ both singles are featured on her debut self-titled album ‘TYLA.’

Tyla further won the award for Best African Music Performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

Though she first entered the international arena by opening for R&B singer Chris Brown on the European leg of his tour, she is slowly but surely becoming the pride of South Africans and a household name.

Prior to her international debut, the artist was known among locals and her peers for posting videos to youtube with her sister Syd.
