Kate Hudson gave a dazzling performance at the star-studded Goldie Hawn Foundation and MindUP 20th Anniversary Love Gala in Beverly Hills on Friday.

The 45-year-old American actress and singer looked like a professional as she confidently took the stage at her famous mother’s invitation.

After a quick outfit change for the show, she turned heads in a floor-length black fringed dress with a thigh-high slit and high neckline.

The blonde beauty looked dazzling in the elegant dress, which she teamed with shiny silver and black heels, making her look a few centimeters taller.

She wore her long hair in loose waves and accessorized with statement silver drop earrings and a set of chunky rings.

At the event, Goldie celebrated the 20th anniversary of her foundation’s mental health program, MindUP, at festivities held at Ron Burkle’s Greenacres.

Before taking the stage, Kate wowed in a figure-hugging, halter-style gown made of a sparkling, gold material that reached her ankles.

She wore a pair of open-toed nude pumps and let her blonde tresses flow down her shoulders in elegant waves.

The singer’s makeup was classically done and consisted of a coat of mascara on her lashes and a light shadow around her eyes.

The star added pink blush to her cheekbones for a radiant glow, while she dabbed a pink, satin shade on her lips for the finishing touch.

At one point, she turned around to show the backless portion of the dress and the thigh-high slit on the left side.

Kate struck a variety of poses as she arrived at the venue to support her mother’s 20th anniversary celebrations for the mental health programme.

According to the official website, MindUP ‘equips students, educators, and families with mental fitness tools that increase resilience to face challenges with optimism, strength, and compassion’.

“It was a very challenging song for us to deal with, so the line ‘love isn’t easy’ came to mind,” he laughed nervously, looking at his fiancĂ©e.

‘But we had a great experience writing that song and it turned out to be one of my favorites on the album.’

Answering the question of which song made him feel ‘the most emotional’, the star said, ‘We’ll Live Forever is a very emotional song and when I wrote this song, it was about my son.’

‘It’s about being a mother, being a young mother and kind of growing up with your child and watching them go, and it was very emotional for me when I was writing it and it was very difficult for me to sing in the beginning.
