macOS Sequoia is reportedly causing frustrating USB issues for some users

If you recently upgraded your Mac to the newly released version macOS 15You may have encountered problems when trying to use USB devices.

So, apparently you’re not alone; Other Mac users are also encountering the same type of issues when connecting USB devices.

Apple Insider notes He said some users experienced drive connection issues and that when plugging USB sticks or chargers into the Mac’s ports, the system did not immediately detect those devices. Sometimes they take quite a long time to connect, and sometimes macOS 15 worryingly doesn’t find them at all.

As you may recall, macOS Sequoia was released earlier this month, on September 16, and it’s no surprise that teething troubles occur when a major release of an operating system is released. This appears to be one of them, at least judging by the many reports on Reddit and Apple’s support forum, and there are other issues beyond those highlighted in our article. Apple Insider also observes that the USB-related bug occurs on different Mac models, including the MacBook Air and iMac, and devices equipped with different processors, including the M1, M2 and M3 Apple chips.

However, the tech site also notes that it has not been able to reproduce the issue on any of its devices and that the faulty USB issue does not appear to be that common; However, some of those who upgraded to macOS 15 are definitely affected, we are acting on the mentioned reports.

So far Apple has not commented on the matter and we are still waiting to see if the company will respond to these reports.
