Geoff Barrow Will Leave Gaga After the Next Tour

Geoff Barrow is leaving beak >that group co-founderafter 2009 Portishead launched Third. The group will be completed upcoming tour datesBarrow is in Europe and North America before resting his “dodgy ankle” and focusing on other projects, including his first feature film, which will be released later this year. In a statement, the band added: “There is still life in our old dog in terms of future Beak activities, but we need time to mourn the loss of our Geoff. New music and activities will follow in due time.”

Barrow said, “About 16 years ago, 3 like-minded strangers got together in a studio to make music and didn’t care if anyone heard it or not.… After 4 albums and hundreds of shows around the world, it ended. “The most enjoyable musical journey I have ever been on… You know in life it’s time to stop touring and now is that time for me.”
