1 person dead in trailer fire in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – One person died in a trailer fire in Orange County Thursday night, according to fire rescue crews.

The fire occurred on Lake Standish Boulevard in west Apopka.

Orange County Fire Rescue said two people called 911 to report the fire, which spread to nearby trees and onto one of the callers’ property.

When firefighters arrived, they “located and removed several propane bottles from the structure, which likely contributed to the explosion sounds,” the statement said.

The state fire marshal is investigating the fire and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office is also investigating the death.

No other information was released.
