Election 2024 candidate forum guide to California’s High Desert

Candidate forums and gatherings are planned in the High Desert as Election Day approaches.

Group Economics Productions will host the Mask Off – Meet the Candidates event at Cosmo Taverna on Monday, September 30 from 17.00 to 20.00. at 12409 Mariposa Rd., Victorville.

Victor Valley Union High School District Ballot measures aim to improve schools

Event attendees can ask questions, express concerns, and hear the visions and platforms of those running for various seats.

According to organizer Justified Smith, the main focus of the event is voter education, highlighting the power of community voices and the importance of participation in the democratic process.

Smith said some special guests for the event will include Victorville Councilwoman Debra Jones, Adelanto Mayor Gabriel Reyes and Town of Apple Valley Mayor Scott Nassif.

Mountain Movers: Meet the Candidates

The Halo Project will host the Mountain Movers: Meet the Candidates event, where each political contestant will have five minutes to address the audience, followed by a time of prayer, organizers said.

Doors will open at 18:00 for the Mountain Movers event, which will start at 19:00 on Thursday, October 3rd at the Victorville First Meeting of God. at 15260 Nisqualli Rd., Victorville.

Organizers said participating candidates will share their visions for the future of the High Desert and speak on issues such as public safety, economy and development.

The event is hosted by The Halo Project, BE Productions, and former pastor and company owner JJ Broga.

“We believe this event is an important opportunity for the Christian community to come together, listen, and pray about the direction and leadership of our city,” Borja said. he said. “Faith plays a vital role in guiding our decisions, and we look forward to an evening of thoughtful discussion and unity.”

San Bernardino County important voting dates

The San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters announced the following schedule for the 2024 General Election:

  • October 1: Voter information guides delivered to the US Post Office
  • October 7: Early voting began and ballots were delivered to the post office
  • October 21: Voter registration deadline
  • October 29: Deadline to request a new ballot.
  • November 5: General Election
  • November 6: Election canvasses begin
  • December 5: Deadline for completing the official survey and documenting the results
