Google Launches New Google TV Streamer

Google has started selling its new 4K Google TV streaming device, the Google TV Streamer, for $99.99. The new device includes new features that will help users enjoy their favorite movies and TV shows, as well as control compatible smart home devices.

The company also announced new updates coming to Google TV devices, including the new Google TV Streamer for controlling smart homes, creating unique backgrounds, and following sports news.

Google has explained the key features of the new Google TV Streamer as follows:

Improved features for finding shows. Thanks to Gemini technology, the latest Google TV features give you full synopses, reviews, and season-by-season breakdowns of the best movies and TV shows.
Google TV Streamer also uses Google AI and personal preferences to offer content recommendations across all your subscriptions.
Manage your smart home with your home panel. Google TV Streamer also functions as a smart home hub, so controlling Matter and Thread compatible devices from one place is effortless.
You can also stream content from your phone, add to speaker groups, control music and more right from your TV.
Program your remote with the new customizable button. The new customizable button on the Google TV Streamer remote allows users to pick up where you left off. It can be programmed on the main panel to control your smart home device, favorite app or other input.
The new find my remote feature offers a quick and easy way to find your remote when it appears to be hidden. Simply press the button on the back of the Google TV Streamer for less than five seconds and the remote will emit a beep. Users can also say “Hey Google, find my remote” to any connected Google Assistant device, such as a speaker or Pixel phone, and the remote will emit a chime so you can find it.
Turn a screen into art with Ambient Screensaver. With the new Ambient Screensaver, Google TV Streamer transforms your TV into personalized art. Show family memories and favorite photos from your Google Photos albums. Or, to create a unique image, the user can voice describe what they want to create or choose from a series of prompts with the help of Google AI.

Control your smart home with Google TV. With the new home panel on Google TV, you can control all your compatible smart home devices, including lights, thermostats, and cameras, without leaving the couch. New doorbell notifications also let you see who’s at the front door without stopping what you’re watching. And if you can’t find the remote, you can control your devices using your voice and the Google Assistant.
Turn your TV into a personal masterpiece. When you’re not watching TV, you can transform your idle screen into a personalized work of art. An improved Ambient screensaver lets you create AI-generated designs or relive your favorite moments with Google Photos. To create a screensaver, simply describe your vision or explore a series of suggested prompts, then the productive AI will create a unique image for your screen. Or, if you’re looking for something more emotional, ask the Google Assistant to display your favorite memories on your TV in Google Photos.
