NHTSA Says Stellantis Recalls 15,000 Fiats in the US

Starry The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Wednesday that 15,835 Fiat vehicles are being recalled because of a software flaw that could cause front airbags to deploy with excessive force in a crash.

The recall covers certain Fiat 124 Spider sports cars from model years 2017 through 2020.

NHTSA said dealers will update the airbag control module software for free.
