New car brand Jetour launches in South Africa with affordable, feature-packed SUVs

About the brand

Jetour, derived from the words “jet” and “tour” and meaning “comfortable journey”, was launched globally in 2018.

Since then, the company has expanded to 45 countries and regions in the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, Asia-Pacific and the CIS, establishing a sales and service network of more than 600.

Now available in South Africa, Jetour Auto is offering an affordable luxury SUV experience by introducing the Dashing and X70 Plus models in Momentum (base) and Deluxe trim levels to the local market.

X70 Plus

External

The model is available in onyx black, slate gray, forest green, ash gray, calm silver and glacier white color options.

Drivers are offered practical features such as height-adjustable headlights, heated electric rear-view mirrors, automatic rain sensors (Deluxe grade) and follow-home headlights.

Under the hood of the model is a 1.5L four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a six-speed DCT transmission.

The motorcycles are equipped with 230 Nm of torque and 115 kW of power.

The maximum speed of the X70 Plus is 180 km/h.

Interior

The X70 Plus is a seven-seater vehicle with a 2,720 mm wheelbase, which offers plenty of space inside.

The situation is no different in the rear; luggage capacity is 1,680 litres (with all seats folded).

Passengers are provided with convenience with features such as wireless charging trays, dual 10.25″ infotainment system, smart voice command, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In terms of security, the model has a keyless start and entry system.

There are also safety features such as hill start and descent control, lane change assist (Deluxe grade), electronic brake assist and tire pressure monitoring system.

The Deluxe version also features a panoramic glass roof that provides more natural light.

Like the previous vehicle, the Dashing is powered by a 1.5l four-cylinder petrol engine producing 115 kW and 230 Nm of torque.

The model is available in seven different color options: onyx black, slate gray, forest green, arctic blue, ash gray, dark red and glacier white.

Interior

The Dashing seats five, two seats less than the X70 Plus, and has a boot capacity of 977 litres, a significant difference over the previous model.

However, it still has a wheelbase of 2,720, so technically not much space has been lost.

Similarly, the model offers all the comfort and safety features mentioned in the X70 Plus, and the Deluxe version also has a panoramic roof.
