Bridgerton Ball Experience in Detroit Being Called a ‘Hoax’

Bridgerton Ball Experience in Detroit Being Called a ‘Hoax’

A “Bridgerton The “Ball” experiment in Michigan ended in complete disgrace.

Photos on social media (below) are going viral from an event that organizers held on Sunday. billed as an opportunity for fans to “step into the enchanting world of the Regency period… for an evening filled with sophistication, elegance and historical charm.”

Some attendees say the event is a messy, low-key affair, with costumed participants sitting on the floor among vendors selling Kit Kat and watching a stripper hired as the evening’s entertainment. The event is notorious (and unofficial) The Willy Wonka Experience An incident that made headlines around the world in March.

Accordingly local station WBCKthe ball wasn’t an official Netflix event. The streamer has a touring event called The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience. According to the event’s simple, two-page website, it was the “Detroit Bridgerton Themed Ball.” Tickets ranged from $150 to $1,000.

“As described this would be (a) Bridgerton “There was going to be an event and classical music, a nice dinner, there was going to be a play and diamonds were going to be chosen for the season,” one attendee said report by local ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV. “They were going to hand out all these awards. And when we walked in, the place was completely empty.”

“It was complete chaos,” another person said in the report. “They didn’t even scan our tickets. We paid for dinner and there were random people all over the place.”

“My family and I just left the Detroit Bridgerton Ball,” one attendee wrote on Reddit, sharing a few photos. “It was absolutely HORRIBLE. There was no place to sit. While the venue was beautiful, the decor was sparse and extremely cheesy. It wasn’t even Bridgerton themed! We spent $400 on tickets for a total b*tch.S experience!”

“Not only was the event lackluster, they promised a cash prize for best dressed (didn’t happen), they were going to pick the apple of the season like they do on the show/other bridgerton themed balls (didn’t happen), and an itinerary with conflicting information,” someone else wrote on Twitter.

“Nobody wanted our tickets so we went inside,” another wrote on Reddit. “All the attendees appeared to be fully decked out but there was no direction. We essentially followed the crowd to the third floor where we saw LOCAL VENDORS selling merchandise as if we were at a local festival… After seeing people sitting on the floor in disappointment, my wife and I left.”
