Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Turns Down  Million+ Endorsement Offers to Launch Own Branded Sneakers | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats & Rumors

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has performance brand741 and rejected over $50 million in offers from potential sponsorship deals to do so.

According to a press release (h/t) Justin Leger Brown, of NBC Sports Boston, condemned “other opportunities for major sneaker companies to gain full ownership and creative control of one’s own brand.”

The brand also includes the 741 Performance Rover “Black Moon” sneaker, which is available for pre-order:

Officially website“741 is a next-generation performance brand with a clear mission to empower athletes and provide consumers with quality, stylish designs that enhance performance on and off the field.”

As for the meaning behind the name, “The number 7 represents spiritual awakening, wisdom, and understanding, while the number 4 symbolizes hard work, stability, and practicality. The number 1 represents new beginnings, creativity, and independence.”

Wearing number 7, Brown helped lead the Celtics to their 18th NBA championship, winning the Eastern Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP awards along the way.

The 741 products are scheduled to be available on October 22, when the Celtics will begin their regular season and championship defense with a home game against the New York Knicks. The products will also be available online and at select retailers.
